SEMINARS!

Me and my two and Mum and her three - Mother's Day.

Okay so today the "Lootha"-"Gorge" Lady said "I really want to go to the Beauty Expo in Sydney this year, they have the best Beauty Cinemas!" I guess I'm just going to come to terms with the fact that some people like me can't spell the words and some people just don't know the right bloody words to say!

Yesterday we had a 1st birthday party here for Greg's brother's little boy. Me and Greg have only seen him a couple times in the last year as he lives with his Mum a few hours away and Chris only gets to see him during his monthly visits. Nick had all her culinary skills on display and we munched out on fresh pineapple drizzled with chocolate, blueberry muffins, choc fudge brownies, egg and lettuce sandwiches, fresh energy slice (that was me), beautiful homemade pesto, prawns (that was Chris) and fresh mackerel. Nick also had her flawless mothering skills on display for the benefit of young and old (or more for Chris I'm guessing), spending her day nursing, feeding, changing and blowing the nose of the little birthday boy. What's the bet those two will be procreating a bunch of kidlets in no time. They'll come out looking just like Anakin! Freakish.

Except poor Bubby who had been looking forward to seeing his little cousin all week had just about the worst night of his life (save the green banana episode). Last weekend it was Greg who was rolling around in bed with some lergy going "What's wrong with MEEE!" and I was doing my best at playing nurse to a grown man (really badly) replying "It's obvious! You're dying!" Well this weekend it's been Anakins turn. Poor kid is practically drowning in his own snot and flem, he's all bleary eyed and has almost no voice. Tonight he's been braying into the end of a syphon funnel so he can reach his normal vocal potential. He refuses any attempts at getting baby panadol into him so is suffering pretty badly. Instead of his usual chipper self he's bursting into tears at everything with big fat tears rolling down his flushed cheeks. It's been tough on me because he reverted back into the feeding patterns of an infant and wants to be on the boobie ALL. NIGHT. So I've had bugger all sleep for going on 4 nights. It's only the second time in his almost 2 years that he's been real crook, so all-in-all his doing pretty darn well.

He's latest thing is taking you by the hand and leading you off somewhere special saying "I'll show ya!" He's really good at pretending. He loves to catch fish in the bath tub and then he cooks them up, sprinkles them with salt and feeds them to you. He pretends to catch the insects in his bug books.
(sometimes real ones too) and eats the pictures of food right off the pages. He's really good with his colours now. He's a real little Aussie and punctuates everything with "Beauty Mate!" "Cheers Mate!". He knows purple, blue, green, red, yellow, white, black and orange. His favourite favourite treat is marshmallows. He calls them "Mushroomallows" It's so funny. He's been wearing Izzy's BMX gloves around lately insisting everyone give him handshakes, knuckles and high fives with his super sized hands. I dunno how he's going to go in kindy because so much of his interactions with his brother start with "Wanna rumble?", "I'll fight you!", "Wrestle." Well that's when Izzy's not trying to get ahold of his "fresh neck" or pleading "kiss for Brussy?"

Better go put the little fella to bed. Have been very slack in here lately but will try be back soon.

Hope Anakin is feeling better!

Every conversation Bubba has involve some kind of physical violence! He wants to wrestle with everyone that comes along and is willing!
